welcome

Boston is a place where east coast grit meets intellectual academia,
where world renowned institutes of science and technology meet DIY art,
where the mass appeal of top 40 billboard and dance drives our resistance movement underground,
where a strong community thrives in the fertile sewers beneath the streets.

Welcome to Vermin Street. We are Boston's culture of experiment.

Mochipet - Horny and Bouncy

Horny

Mochipet - Horny and Bouncy
1. Horny
2. Horny (Yoseph's Hot Dog Remix)
3. Horny (Dice Motion's Love Drug Remix)
4. Bouncy
5. Bouncy (Computo's Moombahpet Remix)

Mochipet has been around and back. In the past 10 years, he's released on labels from BPitch control to his own Daly City Records imprint. He's toured the world extensively, including all over the US, Europe and Asia; he's probably played your town and remixed your music as well, having worked with everyone from Kraddy, Jahcoozi, Spank Rock, Big Boi from Outcast, and the list goes on. And on. And on.

The A-side is clarinet style horns and layers of lasers abound, blanketed thickly over floor shaking kicks. Included are a relentlessly funky mix by Yoseph and a heavy heavy heavy Dubstep/Breaks hybrid by Dice Motion.
The B-side is another thick, heavily layered cake of lasers and bass, this time with more swagger. Computo provides the remix on this one with an exotic moohmbaton mix.

Jupit3r - Capitol Rhino

CapitolRhino

Jupit3r - Capitol Rhino

1. Decoded
2. Capitol Rhino
3. Levitation
4. Passport
5. Thumb
6. Paper Cut (featuring Stephan Jacobs)
7. Capitol Rhino (Suspender Remix)

Capitol Rhino is the first city of the next cycle; the first city after the world as we know it changes irreparably. After the world's resources and priorities shift in what we assume will be a more tribal direction, the world's population will also shift to adapt to the new rules.
Capitol Rhino, the new release from Jupit3r is designed to reflect that shift. Heavy impacts reminiscent of a rhino's crash, and scattering, heady psychedelia to represent the human tribe's search for a new way to apply itself.

Jupit3r's debut EP on Vermin Street, Zipperumpazoo, hit Addictech's top 10 for the month of April 2011.
Recent releases include a remix of Stephan Jacobs on Simplify and the Headtron compilation on Muti.
Represented by the Headtron agency, you can catch Jupit3r promoting the Capitol Rhino release on a late April tour w/Omega and Ruff Hauser, rocking this year's Coachella and Lightning in a Bottle festivals, or doing production tech work for Amon Tobin's ISAM tour worldwide.

Misk - First World Problems

1. Ain Soph
2. Fructose
3. Droid’s Lament
4. Cutman
5. Blast Processing
6. Norma Jeane Barefoot
7. Spooky Sector
8. Motion Sickness
9. Shadowmelt
10. Cutman (+verb Remix)
11. Motion Sickness (Encanti Remix)
12. Spooky Sector (HM.T DM.T Remix)
13. Blast Processing (CocoBryce Remix)

Two years ago, Misk's Nintendont release on Vermin Street hit #1 on Addictech's top 10 weekly chart and finished in March 2010’s top 10 for the month. Well received on all fronts, the tunes made regular appearances on Starkey's radio
show and on Glitch.FM as well.
Since then, Misk has embraced new styles, deeper, detail oriented Dubstep with melody and rugged bass, and his own imprint, Elk Beats, with long time friend Eshone.
But here, with his next release, First World Problems, we dig up some classics from his closet. More 8-bit melodies and Skweee 2.0 baselines, more crunchy claps and a few 111 BPM bootyshakers.
Also featured on this release are a sexy, lazery remix by +verb, a rugged, epic remix by Encanti, a thick, psychedelic-hop remix by HM.T DM.T, and a straight hip hop joint from the one CocoBryce.
Dedicated to the memory of James Huntington, aka HM.T DM.T, who passed unexpectedly during the album’s completion.
50% of pre-expense sales will go to James’ family.
